Lorenzo Campioni

Ph.D. student

Lorenzo, was born in Ferrara, Italy on December 25th, 1993. He is a Ph.D. student at the Engineering Department of the University of Ferrara, where he joined the Distributed System Research Group, led by Prof. Cesare Stefanelli and Dr. Mauro Tortonesi.

Lorenzo received his Bachelor’s degree in Electronic and Informatics Engineering in October 2015 and his Master’s degree in Computer Engineering in March 2018 with a score of 110/110 with honors, and he received a commendation letter from the Evaluation Commission.

From September 2017  till May 2019 Lorenzo lived in Pensacola, FL (USA) to work with NOMADS research group at the Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition (IHMC) under the supervision of Dr. Niranjan Suri. During this period Lorenzo expanded his knowledge and interests in Edge Computing, Communication Protocols and IoT. Now days Lorenzo still maintains a productive collaboration collaboration with the NOMADS group.

Lorenzo has served as a reviewer for the following international conferences and workshops:

  • The 2019 IEEE Military Communications Conference (MILCOM).
  • The 2019 Symposium on Computers and Communications (ISCC).
  • The 2019 IEEE Global Communications Conference (GLOBECOM)
