SBDIO I4.0

Big Data In and Out services for Industry 4.0

The SBDIOI40 project (Big Data In and Out services for Industry 4.0) aims to assist and support local companies in the transition from a product economy to a service economy through the servitization of production processes (inside the factory – In) and after-sales services (outside the factory – Out). To demonstrate the applicability of the results of the project, two main supply chains will be examined which constitute excellence of both the territory and the national context: automation supply chain and industrial food supply chain. The platform will respond to real needs brought by the participating companies both in (e.g. from diagnostics to dynamic readaptation of processes in the shop floor), and out (e.g. predictive maintenance / logistics and targeted marketing). An innovative approach will be adopted based on the use of AI / ML techniques applied to big data coming not only from corporate data sources (both shop floors and products installed / sold outside the company), but also from external data sources such as open data, social networks and crowdsourced data. In this context, the project aims to consolidate the recent initial experiences and experiments (with TRL 4 and 5) of the 5 laboratories and 8 companies involved in the team to arrive at the definition of a federated demonstration laboratory with TRL 6 that will be tested in the field with and at the companies themselves.
